Suede Top Coat

Squeeg’s epoxy suede is a top coat style epoxy sealer. It is designed to give a nostalgic, semi-gloss primer look with the advantages of an epoxy sealer. It is direct to metal and can be shot over most other surfaces including body fillers, other primers, etc. The biggest advantage by far is that body filler and primer can be applied directly on top so if you decide to paint your project in the future, this epoxy suede is an excellent foundation for all of your body filler, primer, and paint work. It does not have to be removed to finish your project with paint. However, this suede top coat is a sealer and not a high build primer like Squeeg’s Epoxy Primer Filler. We recommend using Squeeg’s Primer Filler for any priming done before spraying the top coat.

Mixing Instructions:
Squeeg’s Epoxy Top Coat is a two part epoxy paint system.
Epoxy Component A and Catalyst Component B: For Optimum results, the two components should be blended 50/50 (1:1 Ratio) by volume, Reduce 20%-40% or more depending on finish desired. Allow 30 minutes for the mixed epoxy to set together. Pot life of the mixture is 24-48 hours depending on conditions. Unmixed components will keep indefinitely if the lids are replaced tightly after use.

Application Instructions:
Surface to be coated should be clean, smooth, dry and free of wax, grease, oil and foreigh materials. Acetone is ideal for cleaning and degreasing surface to be painted. Apply with a clean brush, roller, or pad. Nylon brushes or synthetic rollers may deteriorate on contact with epoxy. Natural bristle brushes and short nap Mohair rollers work best. When spraying is the desired application method, most conventional spray equipment will perform well.
